Ewing Irrigation Announces 2007-2008 Education Workshop Schedule
Green Industry Professionals are Invited to Take Advantage of Ewing’s Lineup of Educational Workshops, which Include Courses on Irrigation Troubleshooting, Installation and Design, Landscape Irrigation Auditing, Water Management, Landscape Lighting, and Pond Maintenance.
October 11, 2007, Phoenix, AZ.—With a longstanding history of providing quality educational services to landscape and irrigation professionals, Ewing Irrigation, Golf & Industrial, in partnership with Hunter Industries, announces its 2007-2008 educational workshop schedule.
Last season, more than 3,000 green industry professionals from across the country took advantage of the 49 seminars held in 14 states and 36 cities nationwide. This season, Ewing has nearly tripled its course offering.
“Each year, we continue to enhance our educational workshop lineup by offering a wider variety of courses, and a more expansive curriculum that extends to additional locations across the country,” said Jim Borneman, vice president of education for Ewing. “The importance of educating our work force about water-efficient practices, proper fertilizer management, and other enviro-friendly practices is the key to creating a more sustainable environment for future generations.”
Contractors, landscapers, irrigation technicians, designers, and landscape architects—among other professionals—have all benefited from time spent attending one of these programs.
Justin Yeater, owner of All Terrain Ponds and Sprinklers in Greeley, Colorado, regularly enrolls his employees in Ewing workshops to streamline their field practices and reduce the amount of time they spend on each job.
“These workshops have really helped us grow as a company,” Yeater said. “The training has broadened our scope of ability, which has made our daily operations more economical. We have greatly decreased the time we spend on each project, so we are able to move on to the next project quicker.”
Ewing’s workshop schedule includes courses pertaining to irrigation, water management, landscape lighting, pumps, ponds, drainage, misting systems, turf agronomics, and polyethylene fusion. Ewing also offers preparatory courses for the Irrigation Association’s Certified Landscape Irrigation Auditor, Certified Irrigation Contractor, and Certified Irrigation Designer exams.
Select courses are available in Spanish.
