The Recovery Act and Challenge Grant
As a part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (Recovery
Act), Reclamation is issuing a second Funding Opportunity Announcement
(FOA) for Water Marketing and Efficiency Grants. Reclamation posted the
Synopsis for FOA number 09SF811499 to Grants.gov on March 11, 2009. The
full FOA for these projects will be posted to Grants.gov in the near
future.
Although many aspects of the new FOA will be identical to the previously
issued FOA, the Recovery Act requires that several new conditions be
placed on all awards made with Recovery Act funds. Among these new
conditions are Davis-Bacon wage rate requirements; use of iron, steel, and
manufactured goods produced in the United States; and more frequent
project reporting. You will, therefore, need to submit a new application
if you wish to be considered for an award under this FOA.
You will be notified when the new FOA is posted. It will likely close 60
days after posting. If you are interested in applying, you are encouraged
to begin reviewing the new FOA as soon as it is posted.
The synopsis can be found at www.grants.gov/search/basic.do by
entering number the funding opportunity number 09SF811499.
