Chloride Introduces Powerful Connectivity Tool
LIBERTYVILLE,
IL, July 28, 2008 -- Chloride, a global leader and provider of secure power
solutions, today announced the availability of the "+B" version of its new
ManageUPS™ "P" Series UPS Network Adapter.
New ManageUPS Net Adapter +B
simplifies the challenge of monitoring the operational status of Chloride and
ONEAC® brand UPS systems via multiple communications schemes for multiple user
requirements. This unique capability facilitates the integration of UPS
monitoring functions with popular network management systems including IBM
Tivoli and HP Openview as well as leading Building Management Systems (BMS) such
as Metasys® from Johnson Controls, Apogee® from Siemens Building Technologies,
Tridium® from Honeywell or TAC® from Invensys.
Featuring both a
modular 8-position jack for Ethernet and screw terminals for RS-485 cabling, the
card enables users to remotely monitor their UPS units via SNMP, web browser,
e-mail, ModBus and J-Bus. Users can also program and customize alarm and
advisory messages for various conditions and deliver the alerts via e-mail, SMS,
SNMP TRAP, MODBUS, or J-BUS protocols. Internal flash memory allows for on-board
data and event logging, while also providing a platform for future-proof
updating.
The ManageUPS Net Adapter +B is available with or without
Environmental Monitoring capability to measure ambient temperature and humidity,
and to accept dry-contact signals from three or more third-party devices such as
generators, TVSS panels, or door switches.

The
ManageUPS Net Adapter +B is compatible with Chloride 3-phase UPS including the
